Now is the time to dive into the Padi Open Water Diver course,
the most popular dive program in the world. This is your ticket to a lifetime
of intense adventure with PADI, a dive company that sets the standards in
the global diving community. Most people easily meet the prerequisites for
this course. You should be a reasonably proficient swimmer who is comfortable
and relaxed in the water. Start your new underwater adventure today.
Course Overview
Your PADI Instructor will ask you to demonstrate the ability to swim 200 yards
without swim aids or 300 yards with
mask, fins and snorkel. The PADI Open Water Diver course is divided into three
segments. Academic training, confined water training and open water training.
Academic training gives you the basic principles and knowledge you need for
safe and enjoyable diving. Academic training takes place as you review your
PADI Open Water text and attend the classroom sessions. Confined water training
takes place in a pool and will teach you the basic skills of diving. The open
water training allows you to demonstrate your mastery in a typical diving
situation
PADI Open Water Course
1) Regular Class: Three week class. Meets twice each week
consisting of one night of academic classroom and one
Bitmap evening of confined water diving. Four open water dives are completed
on the third weekend at Crystal River. Ocean or Gulf Dives ( pending on class)
Price: $250.00 (plus prerequisites)
2) Weekend Class: Two weekends. Class meets Friday nights
for academic
orientation. Saturday and Sunday completing the confined water and open
water diving program at Crystal River.
Price: $299.00 ( plus prerequisites)
3) Semi-Private or Private Scuba Class: Create your own schedule
with
our staff availability and learn your diving skills privately with our instructor
at
your speed. All academics can be either in your home or at our facilities.
Final completion of four open water dives at
Bitmap Crystal River, are based on your schedule.

What's Included: Equipment Required
for Class
Costs are inclusive of books and material, Mask, Fins, Snorkel, Weights
classroom instruction, pool fees and open Two Passport Photos
water training instructor fees, plus certification card fee. Students receive
use
of regulators / gauges, tanks and wet suit
for all pool dives.
Not Included: Salt water dives
are at the rate of the charter boat fees.
Open Water Dives are at price of dives at Crystal River.
